Songs Not Sung is about the fear of the blank page—the empty sheet of music that holds within, the infinite possibilities yet to be realized. It ponders on what could have been, had a different path been taken, a different choice made. It is an exploration of creation left unspoken, an invitation to confront the gap between intention and realization. A restless, driving pulse forms the heartbeat of the piece – a steady rhythmic undercurrent that contrasts with the ethereal, floating chorale of clarinet multiphonics. These multiphonics evoke a conjured, tranquil melody, an illusory song that could exist but remains just out of reach
